Our Principles
1. A bright future
We believe that Jersey has inherited the foundations for a successful future benefiting everyone in our Island.
2. Independence in Jersey politics
We believe that independent candidates offer the right form of political representation for Jersey. Independent candidates have delivered decades of stability and prosperity. They offer individual choice and objective opinion without having to toe a party line. We believe that independent States members who share a common commitment to governing in the best interests of all the people of Jersey are the best guarantee of continued stability and prosperity.
3. Standards in Jersey politics
We expect all States members to respect the views of others, whether they share them or not, and we expect all States members to treat each other with respect. We deplore the antagonistic, personal and confrontational nature of some elements of the recent political environment.
4. Electoral participation
We believe that if Jersey’s electorate is mobilised and well informed, and that if independent candidates of integrity, ability and wisdom from all parts of the community are willing to stand, then this autumn’s round of elections will see the people of Jersey return a States Assembly well placed to lead Jersey into a bright and prosperous future.
To this end we will:
a) Support and inform independent candidates of integrity, ability and wisdom from all parts of the community who share a common commitment to governing in the best interests of all the people of Jersey
b) Mobilise the electorate and inform voters about the policies laid before them
c) Encourage civilised and respectful debate based on policies and not on personalities.
If you wish to support us in our objectives, we’ll be delighted to hear from you.
